TaW #37: My Little Pony: Explosive Glare

Claws, wings, big pointy ears, a tail...? Clearly this thing isn't a pony, but it certainly isn't one of those human things either...

Everything goes to hell when Sunset Shimmer forgets to put on her makeup in the morning. Demon Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Satan, whatever you wanna call it, this thing is uuuuuugly! Not necessarily from a design standpoint mind you, I actually kind of like the way she looks. It just so happens that the way she looks could probably break every mirror within a ten mile radius.

I've noticed a lack of accurate vectors of our demonic overlord out there on the internets, so I picked her for my second, and probably last, Equestria Girls themed Thing a Week. Some may notice her colors may be a tad different from the way they are in the film. I did my best to lighten her colors so as to stray from the nighttime shades, and make her fiery hair and such stand out more, like it does in most scenes of the movie in her pony and human forms. I went through lots of trial and error changing the colors until her skin still looked kind of red, and not bright pink, which happened most of the time. But she's done now, hope you legions of the internet enjoy it.


I've decided to make these quick art type things each week for the new episodes, and submit them at least before the next one airs. I'll be referring to each of them as "Things a Week" or TaW. Since the current season is done with, I'll be going back to previous episodes for this series for a while.
